Besides being a huge fan of the Wizard of Oz (did you notice?), I’m a multi-published author in full-length novels and short stories. I currently write contemporary romance have recently launched a new pen name and a new series and made the shift from being published with small presses to self-publishing. I am the president of Broad Universe, an international organization for women and and other marginalized gender authors of speculative fiction, as well as president of the New Hampshire Chapter of Romance Writers of America.
As a coach I specialize in helping writers develop, write and revise their novels. I especially love working with writers who know they have a book (or many) to write, but for whatever reason, haven’t gotten this dream yet. My areas of specialty are books with a strong heroine’s character arc. I am currently working with writers in romance, women’s fiction and fantasy.
I am proud to be certified through Author Accelerator’s Book Coach Certification Program. Their comprehensive training gave me an incredible perspective on story, what makes it work, how to break it down, and how to support writers to be successful in writing their own. They have trained and certified over 100 book coaches through their Book Coach Certification Program in both fiction and non-fiction.
Five fun facts about me:
  • I was born in Colorado on an army base, grew up in New Jersey where my family still lives, and live in Massachusetts where I can get iced coffee all year round, but it’s hard to find 24 hour diners.
  • I’m a city mouse. I grew up going into New York for the theater, museums, and more, and I still love it there.
  • I have a weakness for anything that sparkles. Yup, I’m a total magpie. If we meet, I’ll likely be wearing something shiny. (and red shoes!)
  • I believe that someday I’ll find the perfect planner and then I’ll always be organized. (Yeah, I know – but a girl can dream).
  • If you’re familiar with Clifton Strengths, my top 10 are Strategic, Activator, Input, Intellection, Restorative, Empathy, Futuristic, Learner, Developer, and Command. What does this mean? My strengths support my ability to work with you to plan, anticipate problems, find solutions, and get going. I’m also good at understanding where you’re struggling and seeing your potential and growth.
Now I want to hear about you and your novel.
